American Continental Academy offers two diploma programs, the
online high school diploma program and the
homeschool program.
Homeschool Program
The homeschool program is open to all students ages 16 years and older. This 24 credit program is a pencil and paper program completed through the mail.
Students enrolled in the Home School Program will receive a study guide with content from all Home School Program texts. This guide will include descriptions, a listing of content objectives, and lessons covering every content objective outlined in The State of Florida, Department of Education’s Sunshine State Standards for secondary education.
The home school program student will then receive and complete one course at a time.
Common completion time is 3-12 months.
Online Program
The online high school diploma program is open to all students ages 18 years and older. This 16 credit program is completed completely online and requires the student to have access to a computer and the internet.
Students enrolled in the Online Program will receive an email with login information which they will use to access their student account. All materials for the course and the coursework can be accessed through their student account. Students will be able to keep track of their progress as they work through the coursework.
Common completion time is 3-7 days based upon the students motivation and proficiency with the subject matter.
